Oneness

 LESSON 118

Welcome to Daily Miracles, a running commentary on the 365 lessons of A Course in Miracles, an influential spiritual text from the 1970s. I am James Leroy Wilson and I invite you to join me as I go through this material for the first time.

LESSON 118

Today's Review Lessons:

1. (105) God’s peace and joy are mine. (ACIM, W-118.1:1)

2. (106) Let me be still and listen to the truth. (ACIM, W-118.2:1)

"Be still" reminds me of a famous Bible verse, Psalm 46:10: "Be still and know that I am God!" The psalmist isn't indicating that an external God is proclaiming this, the psalmist himself is saying it as if it's a realization: I am God!

Psalms are meant to be sung, as in choirs. So each person is singing "I am God."

The Course is leading us to this conclusion. God resides in my consciousness, God is my consciousness, and God is me. God's peace is my peace, God's joy is my joy, and there is no other.

The truth we are listening to is our oneness with God.
