Something else I didn't blog about this year, and the year's almost over.
3. John Denver and the Muppets: "Twelve Days of Christmas"
This song, which is normally boring time-filler on any album, is a lot of fun when the Muppets do it. The entire album from which it came is an all-time Christmas classic.
2. Leroy Anderson: "Sleigh Ride"
The original instrumental version. Lyrics do not improve this piece of music.
1. Johnny Mathis: "Do You Hear What I Hear?"
Mathis's mellow pop style never really appealed to me, but I think he has the perfect voice for Christmas songs.
James Leroy Wilson's one-man magazine.
