Presence is a present

Lesson 174

God is but Love, and therefore so am I. (ACIM, W-174)

1. (157) Into His Presence would I enter now.

2. (158) Today I learn to give as I receive.

To be in God's presence is to be in an energy field. It is to be Love itself. And Love means to enjoy all that is within us and to enjoy what we see in the world. No sacrifice or effort is involved. You don't have to do anything. The giving and the receiving come naturally, not because of reciprocity, obligation, or a contract.

When you love someone, you may do something that makes them smile. That's your gift. Their smile is what you receive. When you love - that is, enjoy - a possession, you will take care that it's well-maintained and polished. That's your gift. Satisfaction is what you receive.

When you're in love's presence, the giving and receiving come naturally.

God's presence is a present!
