Welcome to the MVP Chase, where I look for, or chase, the best objective criteria in determining greatness without personal bias.
Today's topics: NFL MVP Chase and Week 7 picks

NFL MVP Chase
We now have a top three for NFL MVP candidates and seven right behind. Remember that to earn an MVP point in a game:
A quarterback must have a 100.0+ passer rating in a win or tie.
A back or receiver must have 100+ yards from scrimmage in a win or tie.
Multiple players on the same team can earn an MVP point in the same game if they meet the standard.
Here are the leaders entering Week 7:
4 MVP Points 3 players
Josh Allen, QB, Bills
Stefon Diggs, WR, Bills
Justin Jefferson, WR, Vikings
3 MVP Points 7 players
Joe Burrow, QB, Bengals
Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, 49ers
Derek Henry, RB, Titans
Jalen Hurts, QB, Eagles
Daniel Jones, QB, Giants
Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs
Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Dolphins
20 points have two MVP points, and 44 have one.
WEEK 7 picks
Last week, I went 7-7 against the CBS Sports line. Week 3 was my first one making picks, and I'm 28-35 for the season. (Yes, the first two weeks were terrible.) My goal is to be one game over .500 each week and, if not that, then .500 for the season. There's still a chance.
Week 7 has a slate of 14 games. Here are my picks:
Lions-Cowboys: Cowboys by 4
Packers-Commanders: Packers by 2
Giants-Jaguars: Giants by 3
Buccaneers-Panthers: Buccaneers by 3
Saints-Cardinals: Cardinals by 1
Ravens-Browns: Ravens by 1
Bengals-Falcons: Bengals by 1
Colts-Titans: Titans by 2
Texans-Raiders: Raiders by 1
Jets-Broncos: Jets by 4
Seahawks-Chargers: Chargers by 1
Chiefs-49ers: 49ers by 2
Steelers-Dolphins: Dolphins by 1
Bears-Patriots: Patriots by 3
