Welcome to Daily Miracles, a running commentary on the 365 lessons of A Course in Miracles, an influential spiritual text from the 1970s. I am James Leroy Wilson and I invite you to join me as I go through this material for the first time.
Lesson 169
By grace I live. By grace I am released. (ACIM, W-169)
"Grace is acceptance of the Love of God within a world of seeming hate and fear." (ACIM, W-169.2:1)
When thinking of the word "grace," I think "unbothered." A graceful dancer or athlete seems to move without worrying about technique. Perhaps that's because they've mastered the technique, but not always. The reason they're unbothered is that they're living in the moment and aren't worried about feedback from audiences or coaches.
Others have that graceful demeanor in social situations. They don’t worry about what other people think of them, and are unbothered by what others say and do. They are kind and generous, valuing each person they see as a child of God.
Accepting the love of God means letting it flow through you.
