I'm reading Young's Literal Translation (YLT) and the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV).

When great, literally awesome things happen in your life, miraculous things, it is good to remember them. 

You can write about them, photograph them, or mark anniversaries. Depending on the event, you can build memorials, as the Israelites were directed to by taking twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan River.

When you remember the miracles in your life, you can be confident that they can and will happen again. When you forget how you've been blessed, however, it is easy to lose faith.

So it is important to remember.
