Welcome to Daily Miracles, a running commentary on the 365 lessons of A Course in Miracles, an influential spiritual text from the 1970s. I am James Leroy Wilson and I invite you to join me as I go through this material for the first time.
No one can fail who seeks to reach the truth. (ACIM, W-131)
When humans perceived regular patterns in the moon and the position of the stars, they discovered the dimension of time and their lives changed. They went from a three-dimensional world to a fourth-dimensional world where they could plan and plant. There were reasons to count the days. They could predict the seasons. Agriculture was the product of the discovery of time.
While reading today's lesson, I was thinking that we all seek the same thing, another dimension beyond the 4-D world of space and time. Whether it's called Truth, Love, or God, this dimension is eternal, meaning it has always existed and always will. It is always present in the universe and in ourselves.
I am the only one who delays my finding of this truth. I am the only one who decides to be distracted by the goals of this world. I don't recall where I read it, perhaps in a Facebook meme, that only time limits can make us "fail" at something. Where there is no time limit, there is no failure.
If my real self is eternal, if it transcends space and time, I can right now let go of worry and suffering and embrace the truth of my eternal being.
