What forgiveness does

LESSON 122

Forgiveness offers everything I want. (ACIM, W-122)

This is a follow-up to yesterday. Forgiveness provides peace and joy which cannot be experienced without peace.

Forgiveness means you're not keeping a record of wrongs, for yourself or for others. Not past wrongs or present wrongs. You're not anticipating future wrongs, for you do not see the sin in others. Thus guilt about the past, grievances about the present, and anxiety about the future are gone.

If nothing is wrong, what is there not to be happy about?

Forgiveness brings one back to the oneness with God, with others, and all creation. This is love itself.
