Welcome to Daily Miracles, a running commentary on the 365 lessons of A Course in Miracles, an influential spiritual text from the 1970s. I am James Leroy Wilson and I invite you to join me as I go through this material for the first time.
Today's review:
(73) I will there be light. (ACIM, W-87.1:1)
(74) There is no will but God’s. (ACIM, W-87.3:1)
As previously stated (April 22), to "will there be light" is to desire a sudden life-changing event, a guiding point through darkness, good eyesight, warmth, to be the opposite of heavy, to be "light-hearted," to be enlightened, and to be so joyful that oe "lights up a room" upon entering it.
Also as previously stated (April 23), God's will is for you to feel good. When you love someone, what do you want for them but to feel good, to be happy? How would the love of God be any different?
My will for "light" is to feel good, and if I'm already feeling happy, it is to want more light, to feel even better. Thus, my will and God's will are one.
