Invulnerable

Welcome to Daily Miracles, a running commentary on the 365 lessons of A Course in Miracles, an influential spiritual text from the 1970s. I am James Leroy Wilson and I invite you to join me as I go through this material for the first time.

God is the strength in which I trust. (ACIM, W-47)

The last few days seem to discuss attributes of God, and the Course seems to imply that God resides in our inner being.

Today's lesson suggests that strength is associated with safety, and that a feeling of safety is very necessary. There is a place within us, or that is us, which is invulnerable or impenetrable. But not in a fortress-type sense, what is a fortress for, but a place for fearful people that choose to isolate themselves?

The day I practiced this was at the end of a long, busy week, and I was more restful and less busy. But when I came to the day's statement, I did feel a surge in physical or mental energy.
