October 6: A Sweet song and a sweet song

Clowns don't frighten people, photoshop frightens people

When the public school and our heroes in law enforcement don't have a freakin' clue what the First Amendment is.
Police have cited a Papillion-La Vista South junior for disturbing the peace in connection with an investigation of the creepy clown craze.
Pictures taken on metro area campuses like Papillion-La Vista South and Millard South were photoshopped to look like creepy clowns were at the schools.
The Papillion-La Vista School District told our sister station WOWT 6 News earlier that their student would face some form of punishment.
The police citation followed.

What say you, Mr. Obama? Mr. Kerry?

What would be a more successful endeavor: finding a "moderate" among Syrian rebels, or finding the Loch Ness Monster?

I chime in at Huffpo

In response to Mr. Obama:

"Congress, at the very least, needs to perform its basic, Constitutional responsibilities – and should do much more." To do ANY more than the Constitutional responsibilities is... unconstitutional..

Smart enough to rationalize lack of discipline

Intelligent people more likely to curse, stay up late, and be messy.

October 6 in history (from Wikipedia)

1889 – American inventor Thomas Edison shows his first motion picture.

Rex Reed instantly panned it.

1927 – Opening of The Jazz Singer, the first prominent "talkie" movie.

Leonard Maltin instantly panned it.

Birthday Quote

"It is said that power corrupts, but actually it's more true that power attracts the corruptible. The sane are usually attracted by other things than power."

- David Brin (born October 6, 1950)

Happy Birthday Matthew Sweet!

And Happy Birthday David Hildago!
