Depardieu and Mali

Famed French film star Gerard Depardieu received a lot of criticism for considering fleeing the country after its "government" imposed a top income tax rate of 75%.

I haven't followed the story, and I don't know his motives or ideology, but if I were in his shoes I wouldn't want to pay for this shameful (1) atrocity (2).

And I don't blame any American who would avoid paying tax to our National Security State. Why shouldn't the wealthy hide their wealth in countries too small or weak to attack others?
