The Power of Belief

This is my latest at the Partial Observer. Excerpt:

What do you choose to believe? Do you believe there are forces working against you as a member of the middle class, as a religious person, or as an American? Do you believe the System works against the average individual? What if you didn't believe these things – what if you never gave them much thought at all?

What if you never looked at people as good and bad, and never judged systems as just and unjust? What if you didn't know you had any enemies, and didn't know the System was stacked against you?

Do you think you would be better off? Worse off? Happier? Sadder?
