The President, of course, should have been punished in the 2004 election for invading Iraq. Unfortunately, his opponent supported not only the war, but Bush's other disastrous and monstrous initiatives (like the Patriot Act, Homeland Security, No Child Left Behind, and the Medicare Drug Benefit). Even though the Democrats gave us no reason why they deserved to win, Bush was so terrible that Kerry should have won.
And he may well have. BradBlog tells us that tomorrow, Robert F. Kennedy's article on Ohio's election fraud will appear in Rolling Stone (ht: Rigorous Intuition). Apparently,
Pollster Lou Harris of the Harris Poll -- described in the piece as "the father of modern day political polling" -- says: "Ohio was as dirty an election as America has ever seen."
Now, RFK Jr. is an environmental attorney, not a journalist. The article is ten pages long, which may not provide enought detail or evidence to convince everyone. But the problem is, no prominent journalist or major media outlet has done a serious investigation of Ohio. Perhaps the Kennedy name will prompt them to get off their butts and do some work.
In any case, I look forward to reading it, and hope this, if nothing else, instigates the President's downfall.
