I am somewhat surprised, and glad, that ABC's "Lost" took the Emmy for best dramatic television series.
An action-adventure series just doesn't provide the same opportunity for great writing and acting that you see in all those "Groundbreaking!" Gritty Crime Dramas. But unlike most network shows, which people tend to watch out of habit, Lost is something to look forward to each week.
I also like the fact that one of the key characters is named John Locke, and the French lady's named Rousseau.
