Jacob Hornberger in one of the best commentaries I've seen so far. It is not hard to believe, as a matter of fact, that Terri Schiavo expressed verbal wishes not to live this way. Many if not most people say the same thing. So, legally, this might be above criticism.
On the other hand, what stinks is that the laws that empowered this finding seem to be insufficient. When is killing someone who is not on life support something to be settled by the State's magistrates?
I am in the midst of writing my PO column, appearing Thursday, which will address the Schiavo case.
