Yankee or Dixie again
I messed up the on the link from a week ago. Sorry. As I wrote before, I got 63% Dixie, and it seems impossible to get under 50% and be a normal American.

My wife and I both took the test. I was 80% Dixie (I hail from NW Georgia) and she was 48% Yankee (she comes from NE Pennsylvania). We are both normal Americans, but we come from different dialect areas. I grew up on the cusp of Southern and South Mid-land and she on the cusp of Noth Mid-land and Northern. Then we complicated it by getting educated and living in other parts of the country.
ReplyDeleteYour wife proves the point - even if from northern PA, she was 48% Yankee, then she was 52% Dixie. Further proof that normal Americans are at least 50% Dixie.
