The Anti-Imperialist League

Quote of the day from obvious America-hating, Islamo-fascist and terrorist sympathizer William James:

"Could there be a more damning indictment of that whole bloated idol termed 'modern civilization' than this amounts to? Civilization is, then, the big, hollow, resounding, corrupting, sophisticating, confusing torrent of mere brutal momentum and irrationality that brings forth fruits like this?"

Oh, wait, never mind - he wasn't talking about Iraq but about America's undeclared war to "civilize" the Phillipines over 100 years ago. 10,000 Americans dead, 300,000 Filipino dead, and only now some semblance of democracy emerging.

I don't know if it's a consolation that our dark days in America today have precedents, but I do know that as time goes by, we have less and less excuse, and that's no consolation at all.
