Americanism and its Enemies

The weird thing is that while much of David Gelernter's piece rings true, he views Americanism the religion as a good thing. In fact, it has only served to discredit Christianity (and Judaism) in the eyes of many Americans and the world.

It's lengthy, but a must-read if Americans are to understand their culture and for the rest of the world to understand what makes America "different" (in what Gelernter thinks is a good, but I think is a bad way).
