Another thing you would never know if it weren't for the movies

If you're in a fistfight, you won't suffer any injuries to the knuckles or otherwise hurt your hands.

If you're in a fistfight, and you get knocked down, you will always get up again. But if somebody hits you in the head unsuspectingly, or delivers a karate chop to the neck, that's it: you're knocked out cold. Every time.

A blow to the head with an object will kill just everyone except extraordinarily heroic or villainous people.

After someone wakes up after being knocked unconscious, they're usually fine after about 15 seconds. They're not woozy, and they don't need to go to the hospital.

Cops are never shaken or upset after a shoot-out. Shoot-outs must be routine for them.

Criminal goons and soldiers from evil countries are lousy shots. Dozens could be shooting at one guy and still miss him.
