Bush the GM, Rumsfeld the Coach

Some days ago when Bush said Rumsfeld was doing a fantastic job and would stay for the remainder of the term, I was reminded of a General Manager of a losing team expressing "full confidence" in his head coach on Thursday, only to fire him the following Monday. But I brushed off that impression, because based on Bush's stubbornness and loyalty thus far, I believed him.
