9-11 Five Years Later

This is my latest at the Partial Observer. Excerpt:

What the politicians want you to believe is this:

Iraq=Iran=Syria=Hezbollah=the PLO=Hamas=Sunni Wahhabi schools=Shi'ite fundamentalism=the Taliban=Al Qaeda

But this is as absurd as saying:

Denmark=Great Britain=the United States=Dispensational Baptist Churches=the Vatican=Freemasonry=Israel=the Democratic Party=Hollywood=New Labour=the Republican Party.

In other words, we are talking about different kinds of organizations and a wide variety of beliefs and goals. But it doesn't seem to matter to many Americans in the post-9-11 world. All they know is that "they" must pay for what "they" did on 9-11.
