The people of France do the right thing.
Economic integration through free trade is a blessing; political centralization - including economic regulation - of diverse groups can not and will not work.
Why a people would ever surrender control of their borders and security to distant entities and foreign peoples is beyond me. I hope this is the "beginning of the end" of Europe as a political concept and the beginning of a truly free and peaceful Europe.
