Before the Coronation

I'm not going to take anything away from what the Patriots have accomplished. Two out of three Super Bowls. Breaking the record for consecutive wins. Holding the leagues's #1 offense to 3 points in one play-off game, and then going on the road to put up 41 on the league's top-ranked defense.

But please. They very nearly lost both of the Super Bowls they won, and Philadelphia is better than last year's Carolina squad.

So before we put Tom Brady in the Hall of Fame and rename the Lombardi Trophy the Billichek Trophy, let's remember there's a game to be played. Let's save the comparisons to Joe Montana and the all-time great teams until after the Super Bowl.
